Could this horrible self-talk be yours? “I need to call Mom. I still have to clean the kitchen. I am so lazy. I am just sitting here and watching television. I have such a good business idea but I am procrastinating- why am I not taking action?? If I just were more active. How do other people manage to have a happy and successful life?? Gosh, I need to discipline myself and from tomorrow I will do it, I hope! I feel pressured. I am so weak and chaotic. I could have more money if I just had followed up with my idea last year. Time is flying. I feel stressed. If I don’t do it now it is over, I am getting too old. My friends achieve so much more, I am happy for them but I cannot keep up. My life is so mediocre and it is my fault. It is hard to change. What if I fail? I am just not brave enough to be the master of my life. It is too hard!”
Can you relate to that example? If yes it is time to change! You deserve compassionate, motivating and inspiring self-talk! Pause several times per day and reflect on your thoughts to see if you sabotage yourself with negative thought patterns.
Do you think it is normal or necessary to beat yourself up by criticizing yourself many times per day? Wait a second – do you talk to your friend like that? If yes I believe that person is not your friend anymore. Would you like your friend to talk to you the same way you talk to yourself? I doubt! We wouldn't accept negative and destructive input from our friends (we wouldn’t even call them friends if they did, right?!) We want and need positive support and being lifted up! Time for some Self-Love!
So shouldn’t we be our own best friend? Of course, we should!! We have to be our own best friend to be happy. Yes, yes we all heard it before but I feel I need to invite all of us to reflect on it again and again until we really, really get it!
How can we expect to be active and productive if we are so harsh with ourselves? Pressure will not lead to success. We need to encourage and support ourselves positively. Within a short time, we feel better and are taking action smoothly to change our lives and work on fulfilling our dreams. We feel inspired and without expecting a perfect result we go step by step towards our goal and we are happy on the way to creating whatever we desire. No judgment but supporting ourselves as our best friend forever.
Productive self-talk:
"I should call Mom and I will in one hour and I love to talk to her. I need to clean the kitchen and it is ok if I do it a bit later today. I deserve a rest and I am proud that I manage cleaning every day. I am so thankful for my business idea and I am writing down some key points to get more inspiration. Everything I need to know will be revealed to me at the right time in the right way. I get started now and every little step counts. It is easy and the Universe provides me with all the information at the right time. It is fun to play around with ideas. I allow myself to be creative and I am patient. Right now I just have 10 minutes but I can work on my goal as every minute counts. I am patient, and it is okay not to be perfect. Being persistent will create my wanted outcome, and I love the process. God created me to be happy and successful. God supports my belief so I have the faith that I can improve my life and reach my goals with God’s help.”
Try this: Set your time on your phone every hour. Reflect for two minutes on your thoughts and be fully aware. Write your negative thoughts in your journal and find positive affirmations that resonate with you. Do EFT tapping for all the negative thoughts running through your mind.
You find videos and two courses on my website here and on my YouTube channel to learn how to reprogram your subconscious mind with EFT tapping. Watch my podcast about EFT tapping to understand why just repeating positive affirmations only work for a short time but tapping really heals the roots of our negative thoughts and feelings! Tapping is easy, smooth, safe and super powerful with quick results!
Then whenever you catch yourself thinking a self-critical thought replace it immediately with your new positive affirmation. I guarantee you that by the end of the first day, you will feel already a bit lighter-hearted. Keep practicing the next day and the next one and the next one and so on! It is like playing sports - it takes some time and discipline to train until you get better and better.
You will be rewarded beyond your imagination!!
You will be more relaxed, more productive and creative and happier. You will feel more connected with the divine power and all your beloved ones! Everything starts with self-loving thoughts!
